Ivano Battiston's fluent and brilliant rendition of Libertango reminded me of another fluent and brilliant accordion performance: Les covers de Persiflette's reimagining of the theme from Zelda as a baroque chaconne. The melody itself doesn't hold any special meaning to me—I never played any Zelda games growing up—but I think the theme, and its chord progression in particular, lend themselves quite well to this sort of adaptation.
I came across Les covers de Persiflette while searching for francophone YouTube channels with content about music. He seems to have stopped putting out videos about music (alas!), but I'm glad to have discovered this charming, dazzling little piece there.
Zelda Chaconne was suggested by Jacob in response to Ivano Battiston's Libertango.
