I enjoy Arthropoda for many of the same reasons that I enjoy Evy's tracks: the way a bunch of simple layers can come together and interact to create something complex, more than the sum of the parts. Even now that I've listened to it many times, the ascending synth line that begins at the halfway point always goes on rising longer than I expect. The sputtering, swooshing sounds at the beginning also remind me a bit of Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine."
